Ductus Venosus Testing Over the last 5 years, there has been a growing body of evidence in the research and clinical setting, that the addition of a measurement of fetal blood flow through the fetal liver, will add to the ability of detecting a genetic syndrome if present. We are now certified to provide this "DV" assessment as part of the First Trimester Screening (FTS) protocol from the UK. ; This adds greatly to the tests performance, giving it a greater than 96% chance for detecting genetic syndromes. For more, see FTS. |
| Now open in Vancouver
PCRM now has an office in Vancouver, at Crossroads Clinics. We have many patients that live or work in the downtown area, and west-side, and in an effort to bring our services more widely, we have partnered with Crossroads. The clinic is located at the intersection of Broadway and Cambie, in the new complex containing Whole Foods Market, and London Drugs. The site will be accessible by Skytrain/Canada Line also. Most of the major parts of assisted reproductive technology will continue at our centre in Burnaby, as this is where our assisted reproductive technology laboratory is located, with the capacity for andrology and embryology services. However, consultations, and follow-ups will be able to be accommodated at Crossroads Clinic. Crossroads Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic, with a focus on Women’s and Family Health. Drs. Henry Woo, Michele Belanger, Ellen Giesbrecht, and Julie van Schalkwyk are the core team of OBGYNs at Crossroads, and have built an excellent facility, focusing on a relaxing and comfortable environment for their patients. If you wish to be seen at Crossroads, please let our receptionist know when booking your appointment. |
