Dr. Sarah Halleran

Gynecologist / Fertility Specialist

Dr. Halleran began her education with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She then went on to medical school and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alberta where she completed her fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.

In keeping with her belief that people should be able to create families (or not, if they choose!) in the manner appropriate for them, Sarah’s main passions are endocrinology and reproductive health & justice. Her practice began with adolescent gynecology and the endocrinology of pubertal development. As her patients became adults, she quickly realized that the issues they faced affected them even more as they tried to start building their families. As such, her clinical practice evolved to include fertility treatment.

Today, Dr Halleran’s areas of specialty include PCOS, obesity-related infertility, and operative gynecology. Outside of medicine, she has an insatiable curiosity about all things. She reads two to three books/week, has many old-lady habits (sewing, knitting, gardening), plays piano and sings, and loves historical fashion/vintage clothing. Dr. Halleran has two children of her own, one husband, a dog, a bird, and many fish.
