Alberta's Oncofertility Funding: What We Know
In today’s announcement, the Alberta government has committed toward continuing the development of a new oncofertility program, in partnership with Fertility Alberta. The initiative is aimed at helping patients preserve their fertility prior to undergoing cancer treatment and ensuring timely access to funded care. The program is expected to be implemented within the next 12 months.
While full details have not yet been released, the program is expected to cover key fertility preservation services, including egg and sperm freezing, storage, and IVF treatment. We will provide updates as soon as they are released.
