World Fertility Day: Breaking the Silence Around Infertility

Posted on November 2, 2026

Every year on November 2, we recognize World Fertility Day, an opportunity to raise awareness about infertility, challenge misconceptions, and encourage more open conversations about reproductive health.

For millions of people worldwide, the journey to parenthood isn't always straightforward. Despite how common infertility is, many individuals and couples continue to experience feelings of isolation, uncertainty, and stigma.

This World Fertility Day, we're helping break the silence and reminding those navigating fertility challenges that they are not alone.

Infertility Is More Common Than You Think

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 1 in 6 people worldwide experience infertility at some point in their lives.

Infertility affects people across all backgrounds, cultures, and communities. Yet, conversations about fertility challenges are often surrounded by silence, leaving many feeling as though they are facing these experiences alone. By sharing accurate information and encouraging open conversations, we can help reduce the stigma surrounding infertility and create a more supportive environment for those affected.

Breaking the Stigma Around Infertility

Infertility is more than a medical diagnosis. It can be an emotional, physical, and financial journey, often accompanied by feelings of grief, frustration, and uncertainty. While every experience is different, there are a few important things we wish more people understood:

Creating space for these conversations can help individuals feel seen, heard, and supported.
