Dr. Ginevra Mills
Gynecologist / Fertility Specialist
Dr. Ginevra Mills is a specialist in Obstetrics & Gynecology with a subspecialty in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is certified by the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in both fields.
Dr. Mills began her academic journey with a BSc in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology from the University of Calgary, followed by an MSc in Microbiology, where she focused on the growth patterns of biofilms and antibiotic resistance. She further pursued a BA in English Literature with Great Distinction and earned her MD from the University of Saskatchewan.
She completed her residency at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, where she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Mills then specialized further with a fellowship at McGill University in Montreal, achieving a subspecialty in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, also certified by the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
Throughout her medical career, Dr. Mills has been recognized for her commitment to research and education. She has been involved in various research projects since her time as an MSc student and has published extensively in the field of reproductive medicine. Her research includes studies on metabolic health and obstetrical risk factors associated with PCOS, with two papers published in Human Reproduction. She has also co-authored chapters on Ovulation Induction and IVF in Endometriosis for renowned medical textbooks.
Dr. Mills is known for her compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. She believes that medicine and humanity are intrinsically linked, particularly in women’s health and fertility medicine, which she views as a vulnerable and essential field. She is dedicated to developing personalized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each patient, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to women’s health and reproductive care.
